Sources said the probe is likely to be expanded to one more ministry as the documents recovered by the agency indicate that some more ministry officials might be involved.
"However, it is matter of probe. A final decision will be taken soon," an official said.
Meanwhile, the agency today brought face-to-face Vice President (Finance) Reliance Industries Limited K V Mohanan, Chartered Accountant (CA) Rajendra Chitale, another arrested accused C A Khemchand Gandhi and Chitale's partner Paresh Chimanlal Buddhadeb.
RIL had said, "The company is ascertaining the facts and will be able to decide a course of action after his interaction with the authorities."
Earlier, CBI had said that "first and second level of decision making in the Finance Ministry were compromised", but now the agency sources said probe may bring into scanner officials above these levels.
