Manager of Tighra branch of Union Bank, B B Bishwas, was caught by the eight-member CBI team from Lucknow, which acted on a complaint, police said.

Bishwas had allegedly demanded Rs 30,000 as commission to issue Kisan credit card to a person, they said.

A trap was laid and Biswas was held by the CBI team while he was accepting Rs 10,000 as advance payment, a CBI inspector said.

He said that the manager is being taken to Lucknow where a case would be registered against him.
