"Based on a complaint, we raided the residence of CEDMAP director Jitendra Tiwari at Arera Colony. We found that Tiwari has amassed wealth to the tune of Rs 2.5 crore, including movable and immovable properties, disproportionate to his known source of income," Bhopal Lokayukta Superintendent Birendra Singh told PTI.
According to the documents seized from Tiwari's place, he owns a house at Arera Hills, one flat in an apartment at Shyamla Hills, three shops at ISBT locality, one house at Guna, one flat at Raunak Tower at Indore and other places, he said.
The sleuths also recovered documents relating to heavy investments he has made in LIC and other policies and 12 bank accounts, he said.
The CEDMAP director has been booked under the relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, he added.
