A Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) team today visited the Sunny Park residential complex where Abesh Dasgupta was fatally injured after being allegedly hit by an alcohol bottle.
The CFSL team visited the residential complex this afternoon to collect evidences relating to the death of the 17-year-old, Kolkata Police Joint Commissioner (Crime) Visal Garg said adding it was called for an expert opinion in the case and to test the footages collected from the CCTV installed there.
Meanwhile, Kolkata Police sleuths during the day called for questioning a driver of one of the residents of the upscale complex who was present there at the time of the incident, Garg said.
Abesh's family members, including his uncle Suresh Thakkar today visited Kolkata Police headquarter at Lalbazar for an update on the progress of the investigation.
Going by the footages captured by the CCTVs at the complex, circumstantial evidences and statements of several witnesses, including frinds of Abesh and security guards, Kolkata Police had said the boy died due to injuries he suffered after falling from a small wall in the lawn of the Sunny Park residential complex on July 23.
The teenager's family members have, however, refused to accept the no conspiracy theory behind his death and have repeatedly claimed that it was a case of murder.
Abesh's mother Rimjhim Dasgupta had met Mamata Banerjee seeking justice and said the Chief Minister had assured her help.
