Cheating complaint filed against AIADMK union secy

A complaint was today filed against an AIADMK union secretary charging him with cheating public of Rs 20 crore through fake chit fund schemes run by his company.
The complaint filed with the city police commissioner alleged that AIADMK secretary Manikandan had been running a monthly and weekly chit, ranging from amounts between Rs one lakh to Rs 10 lakh and he had not given the amounts promised.
The office near the new bus stand was found closed for the last one week and all cellphones of the firm's executives switched off, it said and sought action against him.
