The incident took place late last night in Partha village when two girls, Kavita Singh (9) and her sister Lakshmi Singh (14) went outside their home. They were then attacked by the animal, an official said.
Their family heard the screams but by the time they came out, girls were not there, he added.
On searching, body of one girl was found near the house and half-eaten body of another girl was found 1 km away from the house, he said.
The bodies have been handed over to the family.
