The 38-year-old actor, best known for his role as DK in "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift", will play a Chicago-born resident at the hospital, reported Variety.
Tee's character finds his calling in medicine, after serving as an army medic.
"Chicago Med" is the third project in Dick Wolf's "Chicago" franchise, following the flagship "Chicago Fire" and "PD".
The series follows the day-to-day chaos of a team of doctors in the city and stars Oliver Platt, S Epatha Merkerson, Laurie Holden, Nick Gehlfuss and Yaya Dacosta.
Tee is slated to play villain Shredder in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" scheduled to release in 2017.
