Chidambaram may visit Assam on Monday

During the day-long tour, Chidambaram is expected to meet top civil and police officers and take inputs from them about the prevailing law and order situation.

He may meet leaders of both Bodo and minority immigrants and visit one or two relief camps set up for those affected by the clashes between the two communities.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit the riot-hit areas in Assam tomorrow.
