China again appeals for political reconciliation in Pakistan

Expressing concern over the political crisis in Pakistan, China today appealed again to all sections of the country's political spectrum to resolve the contentious issues through dialogue to maintain national stability.
"China follows the situation in Pakistan closely," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said in response to a question over the deteriorating situation in Pakistan.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan are agitating since August 14 against alleged rigging during the last year general elections.
The political crisis has triggered violent clashes in Islamabad, leaving three persons dead and over 550 injured.
"As a friendly neighbour we sincerely hope that all relevant parties in Pakistan will bare in mind the fundamental interests of the state and the people, properly resolve the issue through consultation and dialogue so as to jointly maintain national stability," Qin said.

This is the second time China appealed for political reconciliation in Pakistan in the last ten days.
On August 20, China appealed to all parties in Pakistan to show restraint and resolve the crisis peacefully.
