Chowk named after Guru Nanak's first disciple

The existing main Chowk near the Nanak Piao Gurudwara at G T Karnal Road was renamed and inagurated by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today.
The Chowk near the Gurudwara, where the Shikh religion founder Guru Nanak Devji had offered drinking water to the pedestrians, will henceforth be known as Bebe Nanaki Chowk.
Bebe Nanaki was the first disciple of Guru Nanak Devji.
Dikshit said the Chowk has been renamed keeping in view the feelings of the community and devotees.
Union Minister Kapil Sibal also addressed the gathering. A large number of people, including prominent members of Sikh community, were present.
