Sarkar thanked the students, especially seniors who stood by her and the school management to restore normalcy in the school, which reopened on September 26.
"I personally thank my students, especially the higher secondary students for their support and for standing for the school. I am glad that students have been able to judge what is right and wrong," Sarkar said.
The school remained close for two weeks after some parents vandalised it on September 12 protesting the death of a class V student Oindrila Das, who was allegedly ragged by three senior students.
The school management, however, stood by their principal and did not accept her resignation.
Sarkar was released on bail on September 16.
