Churchgate-Virar elevated rail corridor likely to get nod

A discussion in this regard was held in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan today at Sahyadri guest house with railway officials and Planning Commission officials.

"It is expected that the elevated corridor project, whose cost will be Rs 20,000 crore, will completed by 2020," Jadhav told reporters after the meeting.

"The railways have sought increasing the floor space index (FSI) of stations which will fall on the elevated corridor and also to acquire land at the earliest," he added.
