The force has registered seven FIRs in the past one year in various parts of the country and has now asked the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police to probe and clamp down a fake website resembling its name.
The paramilitary force has advised the candidates that the only place where authentic recruitment vacancies about the force are posted are either on its official website www.Cisf.Gov.In or in the Employment News and other national and regional newspapers.
"A number of criminal cases have been registered against such persons in the past and some persons have been arrested from various parts of the country," an advisory issued by the force headquarters here said.
It has also come to notice that these elements create fake websites and put fake results on them to convince the general public about their credentials, the statement added.
"We have registered a case with Delhi police against a fake website that is misleading aspirants who want to get employment in the force. The only place for authentic information about the force is the official website and authorised means of mass media like Rozgar Nirman (Employment News) and newspapers," CISF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Anant K Singh said.
"Whenever there is recruitment in CISF, advertisements are published in Employment News, national and regional newspapers as well as on CISF's official website. This is issued for awareness of general public," the statement said.
The force has registered police complaints in Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh about such rackets in the past one year and has even nabbed such people from outside its official premises in various parts of the country.
The 1.47-lakh force, under the control of the Union Home Ministry, guards country's civil airports and vital installations in the nuclear and aerospace domain besides important government and private buildings.
