CISF Director General O P Singh today inaugurated an 'Education Drive Programme' to inform school students about discipline and etiquettes that should be uses in the metro which will not only enhance the security of the system but will also ensure hassle-free travel for many.
"The aim of the drive was to instill a sense of security awareness and discipline amongst school students and to prepare them to act as eyes and ears of the CISF security net," the Force's spokesperson Deputy Commandant Manjit Singh said.
Around 400 students from 11 educational institutions participated in the event.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) secures over 150 stations in the Metro network that runs across Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurgaon and carries an estimated 27 lakh passengers every day.
