"The decision is illegal, unjust and improper," said Surya Narayan Das, secretary of Odisha State Administrative Tribunal (OSAT) Bar Association.
A meeting of representatives of 41 bar and 35 employees associations was held during the day. Twenty other bar and 25 employees associations also supported the causes of OSAT Bar Association.
"We have also called upon all the government employees to express their protest against the September 9 Cabinet decision by way of cessation of work and to wear black badges as a sign of protest on the day," Bhubaneswar Bar Association secretary C R Das told reporters here.
Odisha cabinet on September 9 approved a proposal of abolishing the State Administrative Tribunal as the basic objective of creating such an institution has failed.
