Justice Kabir, who was in Sirohi district to inaugurate a 'Gram Nyayalaya' building, told reporters here that "these courts are created to to mitigate legal problems of poor who found it difficult to travel to district courts".
Besides, arrangements are also made to provide free legal consultations and knowledge to the villagers, he said.
The CJI directed the village courts officials to make the legal process simple, speedy and cheap for the residents in these villages.
He also directed the concerned officials to ensure that the cases related to domestic violences should be effectively resolved.
Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Ajay Rastogi were among several High Court and district administration officials present on the occasion.
