Trouble started after one Faizan and his friends beat up one Amit and snatched his money after a dipute over playing "kho-kho" yesterday, police said.
In retaliation, supporters of Amit today reached Barkhan Bazar and damaged a number of shops, resorted to brick batting and firing, they said.
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Arun Kumar said the situation was controlled in time and it was normal now.
Cross FIRs have been registered by both the sides and probe is on. Heavy police force is deployed in the area.
