"I was grieved to hear the news about retrieval of a body of Andrani, the son of Xavier and Remmiyos, son of Bathros who is yet to be found following the accident in which an unidentified ship hit their boat while fishing last month", Palaniswami said in an official release here.
Six fishermen had set out to sea on a boat 'Emmanuel' from Munambam near Kochi on October 11.
Expressing condolences to Andrani's family, Palaniswami said Rs one lakh would be given to them.
Similarly, considering the humble background of Bathros, orders have been issued to release Rs one lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, he said.
