In a statement here, the Chief Minister said the students organisation must spell out clearly where it has found the government's White Paper on illegal migrants "erroneous, misleading and untrue."

"I welcome the criticism from the students organisation but they should point out where we erred," Gogoi said.

Gogoi said he had made a statement on the day of its release that the White Paper was not a complete document and that he welcomed threadbare discussions on it.

"I am open to discussions. I will be too happy to receive valuable inputs and suggestions from any individual or organisation on the issue. They can send in suggestions to my office directly," he said.

Gogoi said the government has nothing to hide on the issue and that the White Paper is aimed at projecting a real picture on the issue.

AASU had yesterday termed the document released by the government as a "white lie."
