Coast Guard rescues 8 stranded fishermen

Eight fishermen stranded in mid sea off Theresupram hamlet due to a technical snag in their boat were today rescued by Coast Guard and brought ashore.
Coast Guard officials said the fishermen were stranded about 13 nautical miles from their hamlet. They rang up an emergency number and informed CG officials about their plight.
A CG patrol boat rushed to the spot, rescued them and brought them ashore along with their boat, they said.
