Coast Guard rescues sea turtles, lets them off into sea

A number of Olive Ridley turtles,an endangered species, have been rescued by the Coast Guard in two separate instances after they got entangled in fishing nets mid sea.
Personnel of Coast Guard ship 'Vishwast' on routine patrol off the coast of Andhra Pradesh spotted four turtles entangled in fishing nets in Bay of Bengal and rescued them, an official release said.
In another incident, Coast Guard ship Abheek sighted some Olive Ridley turtles caught in fishing nets and rescued them, it said without mentioning the number.
The release did not mention the dates on which the Olive Ridley turtles were rescued.
All the turtles were subsequently let out into the sea, it said.
