District Collector H Arun Kumar participated in cleaning of the beach along with Coast Guard personnel and students.
Kumar stressed the need for protecting coastal beaches from insanitary conditions in order to attract more tourists.
Commandant of Coast Guard Station Kakinada R K Sharma said polluting the sea water affects the living organisms inside the sea ultimately affecting the livelihoods of fishermen.
