Cold conditions continue in Pb, Har

Cold conditions continued to prevail in Punjab and Haryana with dense fog affecting road, rail and air traffic due to poor visibility.
However, the minimum temperatures hovered few notches above normal in most parts of both the states.
Narnaul in Haryana was the coldest place in both the states with a minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, MeT Department officials said today.
Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded minimum at 9.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
Haryana's Ambala had a low of 8.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, while in Hisar, the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.

Karnal braved cold weather at 6.4 degrees Celsius of minimum temperature.
Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their minimums at 5.4 degrees Celsius, 6.8 degrees Celsius and 7.6 degrees Celsius respectively, up to two notches above normal.
Dense fog at several places hit road, rail and air traffic because of poor visibility, officials said.
