The weather remained cold and dry in Uttar Pradesh on Monday as the capital Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature of 7.5 degrees Celsius, and a high of 24.8 degrees Celsius.
Bahraich and Kanpur were the coldest places in the state where the minimum temperatures settled at 4.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the meteorological department, rain is likely at many places over western Uttar Pradesh and at a few places over the eastern part of the state on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, thunderstorm with hail is very likely at some places in the state, the official said, adding that the weather will again be dry on January 30.
