The complaint under section 156 (3) of the CrPC was registered in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Narendra Kumar on an application filed by another municipal member, Janardhan Vishkarmi.
According to the complaint, six BJP members of the municipal board -- Yogesh Mittal, Pramod Bahrti, Raj Kumar, Siddhrath, Yogendra Sharma, and Harish Ahlawat -- allegedly insulted the national anthem during a meeting here on September 10 by raising slogans when the anthem was playing.
Vishkarmi has also alleged that the police refused to register an FIR in this connection.
