Cong claim that BJP using money power to form govts absurd:

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today trashed the Congress' allegations that the BJP used money power to form governments in Goa and Manipur, terming those as "absurd".
Naidu hit back at the Congress for questioning the BJP over forming governments in the two states despite not emerging single largest party there.
He stressed that the saffron party came to power "as per precedents" set in the past.
"Now after this massive victory (of the BJP) in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and even in Manipur, the Congress is yet to learn lessons and is making absurd allegations.
"It could not find support to stake claim in Goa, Manipur," Naidu told reporters on Parliament premises.

The Information and Broadcasting Minister stated the BJP formed governments in the two states after the Congress failed to stake such claim.

"And when the BJP has mobilised the support, other parties have started questioning... This is not acceptable in a democracy, it will be a mockery of democracy," he retorted.
The senior BJP leader also pointed out that even the Supreme Court did not entertain the Congress' plea of stopping Manohar Parrikar from being sworn-in as Goa Chief Minister.
He hoped the Congress adopts approach of a constructive opposition party Parliament and public discourse.
The Congress emerged single largest party in assembly polls held in Manipur and Goa, winning 28 and 17 seats respectively.

The BJP emerged second largest party there winning 21 and 13 seats in Manipur and Goa, respectively.
The Congress could not muster support in Goa, where Parrikar government sailed through trust vote on floor of the 40-member House with support of 22 legislators today.
In Manipur too, the BJP formed its first-ever government under the leadership of N Biren Singh, who was sworn-in yesterday.
