'Cong discriminated while allocating resources for different

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today alleged that the previous Congress government in the state discriminated while allocating resources for different districts of Haryana.
The charge of discrimination in allocation of resources levelled by some Congress leaders has been proved by the white paper brought out by the state government on state fiscal, the CM said.
Khattar said that had all-round development been undertaken, there would not have been such a big difference in the district-wise per capita income.
He said that the per capita income is high in six districts whereas it is low in eight districts.
He said that the per capita income of Gurgaon district which was Rs 81,478 in 2004-05, increased to Rs 4,46,305 in 2011-12.

The per capita income of Yamunanagar district increased from Rs 32,038 in 2004-05 to Rs 82,232 in 2011-12.

Similarly, in Mahendergarh district, it increased from Rs 21,888 in 2004-05 to Rs 54,835 in 2011-12.
But the per capita income of Mewat district in 2011-12 was only Rs 45,934, the lowest in the entire state.
"There is need to do away with the discrimination made in the distribution of resources of the state during last 10 years and change the pattern of resource allocation decisions," Khattar said.
"We must do away with regional discrimination in development by increasing public expenditure on basic infrastructure and efficiency," he said.

The state government wants to undertake all-round and balanced development right from Shivalik Hills to Aravali Hills and from Sirsa to Faridabad by putting an end to regional discrimination in the matter of development, he said.
