It also seemed that the state police had been "informally co-opted in this vendetta drive" by the Congress, he told reporters here.
"There can be no other reason for the continuing murderous attacks on Akali workers," said Sukhbir.
The former Punjab deputy chief minister also alleged that the Congress government had "fine-tuned its response to every barbaric act unleashed on Akali workers".
The SAD chief said his party will take up the cases of vendetta politics unleashed by Congress workers in the court of law.
"We will also initiate court proceedings against all the officers who abet such cases," said Sukhbir.
