"The NDA government has failed to stop the ceasefire violations on the Indo-Pak International Border. Where have the tall claims of the Prime Minister gone?" Congress general secretary Ambika Soni said.
Flanked by Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Soni was speaking in Bani and Billawar constituencies of Kathua District in Jammu and Kashmir.
She said "more than 300 ceasefire violations, including the war-like shelling of August this year, have taken place since the NDA government has assumed charge, in spite of the fact that our Prime Minister used to flaunt 56-inch chest to make big claims".
She asked why the Prime Minister, who used to sermonise on frivolous and petty issues before coming to power, is maintaining a silence on the frequent killings of the country's security jawans.
Questioning the BJP-led NDA government's seriousness and intent to tackle terrorist violence, Soni asked that how long this government will succeed to mislead the public while terrorist and Maoists attacks have shown unprecedented spurt across the country.
Calling the NDA government a 'U-turn sarkar', Soni said that NDA government not only has failed to fulfil its electoral promises, but has let down the people of the country by taking U-turns on all the issues which it was vociferously raising in the run-up to Lok Sabha elections.
Soni said that every individual of the country was eager to receive Rs 15 lakh in his or her account within 100 days of the NDA government but surprisingly, now the Prime Minister says he does not know how much black money is stashed in the foreign banks.
