Congress corporator suspended for 15 days by irate mayor

A Congress corporator who levelled allegations of corruption against mayor Sanjay More was suspended by the irate mayor during the general meeting of the Thane Municipal Corporation here today.
After Congress member Vikrant Chavan alleged that the current mayor and former chairman of the school board Sanjay More is responsible for corruption, he was suspended for 15 days.
Security guards and female Shiv Sena members ran towards Chavan to throw him out of the House, but he preferred to quit the hall.
