The activists also raised anti-government and anti-BJP slogans.
"BJP has totally betrayed the people of Jammu region, they claimed to be the champions of the case of Jammu, but they have surrendered on all the issues just to remain in the power," a Congress spokesman said.
He said that the BJP, which is the party in the ruling alliance in the state, did not raise its voice when the service tax on the helicopter service to the Vaishno Devi Shrine was hiked.
He said that the Congress will continue to raise voice of the people of Jammu region as he accused the BJP of forsaking the cause of the people of Jammu region.
"They (BJP) promised to work for the people of Jammu, but after coming to power, they forgot all the promises and left the people in the lurch," he said.
