Congress' women workers from across the country would gather near here next week for a workshop-cum-training camp where senior leaders and experts will guide them about the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The three-day camp will start from June 21 at Sanand town and women workers and office-bearers of the Congress from across the country would take part in discussions about the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, All-India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev said today.
The key focus of this exercise will be to formulate strategies to attract female voters towards the Congress, she told reporters here.
Dev was here to take part in a programme of the Gujarat Mahila Congress.
"In this training camp, our leaders and experts will give guidance to our women cadres about how to prepare themselves for the Lok Sabha polls.
"We will also organise workshops on various subjects such as developing leadership skills among women workers," she said.
"Normally, the number of women voters is higher than male voters during any poll. Thus, we will strategise about how to attract these women voters towards the Congress.
"We will also train our cadres in raising issues affecting women by conducting door-to-door campaigns," Dev added.
