A police constable was arrested here today on charges of harassing and blackmailing young lovers, who were found in secluded spots, and taking their photos, police said.
K Chanti used to take photos of couples and threaten them that he would send the snaps to their parents, B Venkat Reddy, Warangal Police Commissionerate Central Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police, said.
Reddy said several complaints were received against him.
Police recovered gold ornaments worth about Rs 8 lakh, a car and four two-wheelers from him.
He has been remanded to judicial custody.
