Katni Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajput said constables Uday Raj Singh and Mahendra Dube have been suspended after authorities took cognisance of the video, following which an initial probe was conducted and the duo was found to be involve in it.
Constable Singh and Constable Dube, posted at Kotwali police station in the district, had detained two minor boys and one another person in connection with a theft in March and later allegedly beat them black and blue with a stick.
Also, a probe has been ordered against sub-inspector Lekh Singh Parihar, who was also involved in the incident, Rajput said.
