The price of coriander was presently ruling at Rs 11,500 per quintal but expected to decline to Rs 9,000-Rs 9,500 per quintal during the harvest season, it said.
Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh are the major growers of coriander in the country.
Though arrivals from Rajasthan and other states would influence the price, Tamil Nadu coriander will fetch higher prices due to its quality, an analysis carried out by TNAU's Domestic Export and Marketing Intelligence Cell (DEMIC) said.
Coriander is one of the important seed spices which forms the base of most Indian curries and is exported as powder and in oil form.
