"With styling coming up in a big way in present day Bengali cinema, From Goynar Baksho,to Jaatiswar to many lesser budget films the costume and visual elements are like never before," Bidita, the showstopper in Season's Latest Spring-Summer Collection sho, told PTI.
"I think Kolkata had contributed to the country's fashion scene and Bollywood costumes in a big way. We had none others than Sabyasachi Mukherjee, whose collaborations with Sanjay Leela Bhansali conjured up such awesome shots. Now the effect has caught on Tollywood also," Bidita, having turned up opposite Sanjay Suri in North Carolina International South Asian Film Festival winner 'As the River Flows' said.
"Here I don some crushed materiall. Fabrics weaved specially having a plunging neckline. I feel like a Princess. It is every girl's dream to be adorned by the perfect designer," Bidita, also turning in an Odiya film, said.
"I am doing two Hindi projects by present day directors. But am contract-bound," she said.
The show, attended by prominent models Madhabalita Dimpy Ghosh and others was to launch fashion journalism and some other topical courses at National Schhol of Fashion.
