Country has turned cashless due to demonetisation: AAP

Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his call for a "cashless economy", AAP today alleged that he has "truly turned the country cashless" as "neither the people posses cash nor do the ATMs".
Terming demonetisation as "bloody" move, AAP's Delhi convener Dilip Pandey claimed that ever since Modi announced withdrawal of old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, over 60 people have lost their lives.
"Modi is shifting goalposts. Earlier, he gave a call of driving out black money and now he is giving a call of cashless economy," he claimed
"He claimed that fake notes and terror funding will stop due to this decision. But that has not happened. Everyday fake notes are being recovered in large quantities," Pandey alleged.

AAP held a public dialogue at Connaught Place where party leaders slammed the Prime Minister for "enacting a black law" and alleged that corruption has gone up since the old notes were declared defunct.
Delhi Water Minister and AAP leader Kapil Mishra claimed that his department is the worst hit due to demonetisation.
"Contractors cannot give money because anyone who has a current account can withdraw only Rs 50,000. And he cannot pay his labourers. So all work has come to a standstill. If liquidity does not enter the market then all works related to sewer will come to a halt completely in next five to 10 days. This is happening across the country," he claimed.

Mishra, who is also the tourism minister of Delhi, said, "Tourists are saying that they will never come to India.
