The incident took place in Palam City as a heated argument between Sohan Sah (58) and his wife Badami Devi (46) turned nasty and they fatally attacked each other with axes, Mufassil police station in-charge Jitendra Prasad said.
Both were found dead lying in a pool of blood when their 15 year-old son Bisharjan Kumar arrived at his family's farmhouse with food for his parents, he said.
Bodies have been sent for post-mortem, Prasad said, adding the couple, with a history of marital discord, had recently come to their farmhouse for short stay from Bansbaria Peepal Chowk under Town police station area of Bettiah town where they lived.
