Couple working in field electrocuted in Jhabua district

A couple was electrocuted while irrigating their agriculture field at Dholkhara village in the district today, a police official said.
The deceased were identified as Veerji Amlia (55) and his wife Sattu (50), police said.
The couple was electrocuted after a live wire of the pump came in contact with the water that was spread across the field where they were working, Khawasa police post in-charge, Bhagirath Bhaghel said.
Both of them died on the spot, said the official.
The couple was watering the wheat crop in the field when the incident took place, he said.
