CPCL registers Q3 net profit of Rs 33.97 cr

Chennai Petroleum Corporation, an Indian Oil Group company, recorded a net profit of Rs 33.97 crore for the October-December quarter of this fiscal.
The city-based company had registered a net loss of Rs 680.52 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal.
For the nine-month period ending December 31, 2015, net profit stood at Rs 505.08 crore as against a net loss of Rs 403.56 crore in the same period last fiscal.
For the nine-month period, total income from operations plunged to Rs 20,124.12 crore from Rs 33,042.01 crore earlier.
Total income from operations during the quarter slipped to Rs 5,088.24 crore from Rs 9,436.25 crore earlier.

Shares of the company ended at Rs 145, down by 14.12 per cent on the BSE.
