Main objective of both CPI-M and BJP is to ensure that Congress gets less seats and for that they would go to any length, Chandy told reporters here.
CPI-M had joined hands with BJP in 1977 and 1989. Issues related to emergency of 1975 was the reason given by CPI-M in 1977 while in 1989, corruption was the cause, he said.
"In 2014, CPI-M only has to find out a reason to join hands with BJP to fight Congress," Chandy said.
Chandy said he has full faith in Indian judiciary which is free and transparent. "I did not want to make any more comment on the issue as the matter is pending before the court."
Chandy was responding to the reporters query on the high court showcause notice to Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Economic Offences), N V Raju, yesterday seeking an explanation from him within 15 days with regard to alleged lapses on his part in not recording the in camera statement of Solar Panel scam accused Saritha S Nair on July 20 this year.
The Solar Panel scam, in which several people were cheated crores of rupees by promising solar solutions, had taken a political turn after a close aide of the chief minister office was arrested for his alleged links with Sarita.
Two other members of the Chief Minister's Office were also suspended following which the opposition Left Democratic front launched agitation demanding the chief minister's resignation.
