A 'Centre for Persons with Disabilities' was opened in the national capital yesterday by Central Reserve Police Force chief Dilip Trivedi.
The centre will be run in collaboration with HCL Foundation under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing and will have trainers drawn from the paramilitary and general experts to train troops injured in operations for skills in computers and a host of other trades which will help them sustain their lives, a senior official said.
The CRPF is the mainstay for anti-Naxal operations in the country and has deployed close to one lakh personnel for this task apart from several dedicated units which are rendering counter-insurgency duties in the North East and Jammu and Kashmir.
