Senior CRPF officer H R Singh has been appointed as the new Additional Director General in the country's largest paramilitary.
Singh, who was till now serving as the Director (Inspector General) of the forces' officers training academy in Guragon, is only the fifth cadre officer to reach the top post next only to the Director General.
Singh, who has been given the Works charge, will, however, remain in the post for few days as he is set to retire on June 30.
The officer, who joined the force in 1975, has seen all major theatres where the force has been deployed for internal security related duties.
