The 49-year-old actor is putting an end to his marriage, after spending 22 years with his better half and childhood sweetheart, confirmed E! News.
The "The People v OJ Simpson" star has asked for the joint legal and physical custody of the couple's ten plus daughter, Piper.
Cuba also assured that he is willing to give spousal support to Sara.
The legal development emerged after Sara filed for separation from Cuba back in August 2014.
According to her, the couple married on March 13, 1994.
Apart from Piper, the duo have two sons, Spencer and Mason, aged 22 and 20 years respectively.
