Curfew was imposed in Punhana town on April 12, two days after clashes broke out between supporters of rival political groups and also to prevent any flare-up between two communities after the bullet-ridden body of a youth was found in there on Friday.
Deputy Commissioner, Mewat, R C Verma said that the district administration today relaxed the curfew from 6 AM to 7 PM at Punhana as the situation improved.
Verma appealed the people not to pay heed to any kind of rumour and help in maintaining law and order and peace.
He said that the administration is vigilant towards the protection and safety of people and teams of police personnel and paramilitary forces have been deployed at different places in the town to maintain peace.
