To take stock of the drainage system, the DC visited Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, Tarun Nagar, Pub Sarania, Rajgarh Road areas of Guwahati perenially hit by water-logging even after a brief shower.
During his visit with officials from PWD, GMC and Water Resources Department, the DC directed the Superintendent Engineer PWD (Road) to prepare a proper drainage plan within a month.
Additional Chief Engineer Water Resources will co- ordinate with PWD (Road) division to prepare the drainage plan.
The DC further instructed the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) to clear all blockage in drains of the city, he added.
