The 48-year-old actor will play the role of OJ Simpson's attorney, with Cuba Gooding Jr as Simpson and Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, reported Digital Spy.
'Glee' and 'American Horror Story' creator Ryan Murphy is directing the first episode. The miniseries is written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, based on Jeffrey Toobin's book 'The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson'.
Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Alexander, Karaszewski, Brad Falchuk and Dante Di Loreto are executive producers.
Murphy had earlier said that the series will be 'much more dramatic' than his 'American Horror Story' franchise.
"We didn't want to do a 'killing of the week' thing. We're interested in exploring crime cases that changed the landscape of America. The OJ Simpson case really did that. It's not going to be like American Horror Story - it's much more serious," he had said.
