Defeated Le Pen claims 'historic result', wishes Macron

Defeated French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen claimed a "historic, massive result" for her far-right National Front (FN) in today's presidential run-off won by centrist Emmanuel Macron.
In a short statement, Le Pen said she had called Macron to wish him "success" in tackling the "huge challenges" he faced and announced that she would lead the FN into June's legislative elections.
