Dehradun institute assures Punjab help in green campaign
Financial Commissioner (Forests) Dhanbir Singh Bains said that this assurance was given by Director, FRI, P P Bhojvaid and Director General, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) V K Bahuguna during a recent meeting.
Bains was deputed by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to visit FRI for chalking out a detailed action plan for the plantation drive.
He said senior FRI officers emphasised the need for preparing seeds of good genetic material to produce high quality plants.
