Delay in Viswaroopam release causes Rs 30-60 cr loss: Kamal

The ban came after Muslim organisations started protesting against the movie

Kamal Haasan today said that the loss incurred due to delay in releasing his movie 'Viswaroopam' would be around Rs 30-60 crore. The actor-cum-producer said that he will also consider leaving the country, if the situation arise again.

Speaking to  reporters in Mumbai today, Kamal said that the estimated loss due to delay in release the movie is around Rs 30-60 crore. It may be noted, his movie production arm Rajkamal International produced the movie at a cost of around Rs 95 crore.

Kamal was in Juhu, Mumbai for a special screening of his movie Viswaroopam, which was banned in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The ban came after Muslim organisations started protesting against the movie.

The actor told the Media, he will consider leaving the country, if the situation arise again. It may be noted, on Wednesday he said that "I am fed up. I am an atriste, I will have to seek a secular state to live in".
